Ward Choir

Today our ward choir sang in sacrament meeting. I am the conductor and have been for almost 2 years now! I still feel so unqualified for my calling, but because of the amazing talent of the members in our choir, every time we sing it just gives me chills. It always brings the spirit to our meetings. I alway go up to the stand so nervouse, but when we are done, so many people tell me how wonderful it sounded. I feel so grateful to those members of our choir that come consistently - THEY are the ones that deserve all the praise! :)

Great job!! I know a bit of your fright... I am the Relief Society Choir director & I really don't enjoy preparing numbers for Sacrament!! But what a blessing for the talent of other or for our Heavenly Father's ability to make it sound good in everyone's ears!! Keep up the great work!!

It looks like you had a blast at your PC Conference!! Those are good times!!

GREAT TO KNOW -NOW- THAT YOU CONDUCT A CHOIR.....I am sure you were rolling your eyes as you watched me TRY to teach the 1st graders how to sing correctly!! Ugh, I am so embarrassed! :-)

I agree that conducting a choir can be intimidating. I've had many people ask me for tips of how I've learned to conduct, so I've created and posted 10 free videos on how to conduct. If anyone can find them helpful, feel free to use them. They can be found at: www.tetonmusic.com/conducting.htm

Hope this helps.
